Artist of the Week : Måns Zelmerlöw
A week
before the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 final occurs in Vienna (Austria), bets are wide open. Who
will be the winner of this 60th edition among the 40 candidates. Some stand out
but it’s odds- on that the choice will be between Italy represented by pop-opera
trio Il Volo and Sweden with Måns Zelmerlöw. Although no longer unknown, the
latter had so far hardly success outside his borders. Competitor of the 2005
Swedish Idol where he will reach a 5th
place, he was also the following year winner of TV contest Let’s Dance what
allowed him to play the key role in the
musical Grease Swedish version. Being
soon 29, he has already released 3 albums but he is especially recognized as TV presenter. Måns
Zelmerlow had already competed in 2007 to fly Sweden’s flag at Eurovision but had been then dropped. Maybe 2015
will be right with Heroes, an uplifting pop song sprinkled with country overtones,
perfectly appropriate to this yearly key contest. And the winner is .. anwer on
Saturday, May 23.
