Artist of the Week : Lorde

Already foreseen as the "New Queen of Alternative”, it's  still  too little to say that 18-year-old Ella Yelich-O'Connor aka Lorde is a true phenomenon. This New-Zealander young singer-songwriter, ultra-talented, signed her first recording contract at the age of 13. Accompanied by her guitar, she released her debut album in 2013 including Royals, a worldwide uncommon hit which allowed her to win two 2014 Grammy Awards for Best Solo Performance and Song Of The Year. In an often introspective personal style alternating the disturbing sound of her voice throbbing with electro-pop arrangements, she signed this year the soundtrack of the first movie instalment based on Hunger Games TV series including Yellow Flicker Beat, an ambitious track illustrating once again her ability to express in a poetic way the dark side of a tormented teenage soul wandering across a land of fantasy.
